One-on-one session with a licensed clinical psychologist.
I work with adults seeking help with a wide range of concerns, including relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, identity concerns, grief and loss, and significant life transitions. I have specialized experience working with personality disorders, chronic suicidality and self-destructive behaviors, relationship trauma, and helping people navigate periods of significant change in their lives.
My approach to treatment is rooted in Psychodynamic Therapy, though I also have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed interventions. As such, I apply these models flexibly and adapt to the needs of each person that I work with. For some of us, the work involves developing a deeper understanding of ourselves and the patterns that shape our lives. For others, the work involves coming to terms with uncomfortable emotions, tolerating distress, and developing control over our impulses. For others, the work involves understanding and addressing the challenges that make it difficult for us to want to live.
Regardless of where we begin, I approach therapy with an open mind to understand the person in front of me - their history, relationships, inner life, and the ways they have learned to navigate the world.

What is psychological testing?
Psychological testing involves the use of evidence-based psychological measures to develop a more precise conceptualization of yourself and of your symptoms. The process is outlined below.
Step 01: Assessment Questions
The testing process begins with identifying the questions you hope the assessment can help answer. These questions might be about confusing symptoms, maladaptive patterns in relationships, personality traits, emotional difficulties, challenges with impulse control or aggression, self-sabotoge, experiences of mania, or experiences of psychosis. Examples of assessment questions include:
When it comes time for serious commitment in a relationship, I tend to get uncomfortable and do something to end it. Why do I do this?
Where does my depression come from, and what do I do about it?
I don’t really know who I am. Is this normal, and is there hope for me?
It seems like I am at the mercy of my emotional states and have no control over myself. Why can’t I manage impulses?
Step 02: Test Selection
Next, I will choose a set of psychological tests that will best help us answer your questions. The tests typically include questionnaires, experiential tests and performance-based tests, and structured clinical interviews tailored to your presenting concerns.
Step 03: Review Findings
I approach psychological testing as a collaborative process rather than something that is simply done to you. We review the findings together and use the test data to refine our shared understanding of your presenting concerns. I then choose another set of psychological tests to help us fine tune our understanding even further.
Step 04: Feedback Session
At the end of the testing process, we put all of the findings together to help answer your assessment questions. We also discuss what to expect from treatment, and what type of treatment would be best suited for your needs. If applicable, we can also refine any psychiatric diagnosis that has been given to you or that you have been curious about for yourself.
Diagnostic Evaluations
Psychological testing can also be used to help clarify diagnosis. I am able to provide testing for the following diagnostic questions:

Bipolar Disorder
Psychotic Spectrum Disorders
*** I do not currently provide evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), neurocognitive impairment, or specific learning disorders.
